Default 8 & older popular games, & boggle/upwards r they played or just scrabble?

I"m interested in popular board games for 8 years and older and i'm wondering if anyone has really enjoyed boggle and upwards or if really scrabble is the most popular. i've been trying to have a certain stock of games around and wondering which ones you personally or your chidlren 8 years and older most enjoy
    thanks

    i now have
    mousetrap,
    battle ship/sea battle
    rummykub
    cluedo
    monopoly
    uno
    scrabble
    mastermind
    rummykub
some of the kmart brand ones that are similar to kerplunk and another one

what others do you or your kids enjoy please.

DD is 7. We do the standard in ones like monopoly, uno and my old upwords but we have a few other favourites such as dominion, carcasonne, catan (also Jnr edition), ticket to ride & caverna.

We play Guess who, Uno, battleships, kerplunk, connect4, operation, memory and general playing cards.

We play a board game with a hot chocolate after dinner most nights.
