Hoping someone can confirm if anyone would possibly be able to tell our baby's gender from our 20w scan pic? We were very clear that we didn't want to know and our sonographer was great and must have brushed past the area so quickly we didn't even notice. She gave us 4 pics that were all side profile shots and baby's legs were curled up a bit. I assumed she wouldn't give us a shot that shows the gender clearly just in case someone can tell and blurts it out. I've read mixed comments, most saying you can't tell from the side only from the top view, but a couple of people we've shown the pic to insist on trying to see the gender (highly annoying!) and give us a smile and sort of hint they might be able to tell. Wondering if maybe they just think they can tell but that it's actually not possible. Don't like the idea of someone else knowing if we don't want to. Surely sonographer would mention to us if you can tell in the pic?

Can you tell gender from 20w profile shot?

Yes you can, if it's been imaged which most of the time it hasn't unless you've asked them too.
People always give knowing smiles but they probably have absolutely no clue!
