Oh sorry @Giraffez- don't mean to confuse u hun.. but now you've confused me...hahaha.. had to write all ur BT results down on a piece of paper!
Ok answer to ur question: why u had an earlier surge this cycle? Because ur E2 is alot higher than ur last IUI. Ur e2 usually corresponds with the number of follies in ur ovaries.. so if last cycle ur e2 was only 900+, and u only had 2 DOMINANT follies, it doesnt mean there weren't others. I can see why they triggered u though- ur biggest follie was 21mm and ur LH hadn't started surging yet.

If you counted the total follies developing in the ovaries in this cycle, I'm sure there would be more of them than last IUI cycle. Hope that makes sense. They don't usually tell u ur follie number in an FET scan, and I would imagine that would apply for an IUI because the number of follies don't matter- what they want is the size of the biggest follie to predict ovulation and ur lining. But I probe them until I get it or if the screen happens to be in front of me, I commit the numbers to memory since they write it in the screen. :P

Laverty uses the same units as Dorevitch- pmol/L so there's no unit difference there.

Yes my e2 was 1033, LH was 26 on cd13 of my BFP cycle ( FET#4) and I didnt have to be stimulated. ( For comparison: E2 was 5415 pmol/L during IVF stim cycle).

If ur cycle varies on Vitex, it could be that it's trying to balance out ur hormones? I usually ovulate around cd16 pre- vitex, after the 2nd mnth on it, I started to ovulate earlier on cd14. So in total I was on Vitex for 4 mnths.

@Jazzabelle13 and @tjuls u both wake up so early! We should all maintain our beauty sleep whilst we still can!
@tjuls isn't 900 quite low for 2 dominant follies? My LH was just starting to rise at 11 that day.

So does that mean I've got a problem with my e2.. I mean yours is already higher without stim.

Btw I was only on 37.5 gonal..what dosage were u on?

Can't see anything on that ultrasound machine screen esp when it actually hurts. I reckon the doctors are better at it.

Light bulb moment @Giraffez. If u need low dose stimulation to get those levels, then actually have the opposite problem to me. Which means taking Vitex is counter productive. Which explains why ur cd3 fsh is highish.
Lower e2 means ur eggs could mean ur egg quality could be compromised. U need a balance of e2 to grow the eggs and LH to mature it.

You could try black cohosh @Giraffez. It will do the opposite of vitex. Do some research on it and see if it's something you would try.

Just be careful with it though- too high doses over long term use can cause liver problems.

@tjuls did a quick google. The claims on liver damage are scary! Maybe soy which is also a phytoestrogen too? I do love soy milk and tofu etc though (I even have a soy milk maker)

Yes soy is a safer option @Giraffez but u would need to eat alot of it and prob over a longer period of time and for some that's not high enough to increase the estrogen levels. Black cohosh is very effective in raising ur e2 but I would recommend taking it under the guidance and advice of a naturopath if u are concerned.
Keep in mind that women who take black cohosh for estrogen replacement for fertility issues don't take it for extensive periods of time.
The same way that docs don't prescribe estrace or progynova for long periods of time.
