@winsor, my budget was 7000euro/$10,000aud for the ivf (thats donor meds, ivf cycle, transfer, freezing sperm in case i need another cycle so DH doesnt have to come back, freezing remaining embryos. Then about $3500 for 2 flights and $800 for accom for 10 days, prob $100 a day spending money for food, transport etc. So im budgeting for $16000 aud. Crazy BUT half the price of doing the known egg donor thing. And if 1st go doesnt work and you have frosties, then its just cost of 1 flight and $1000 approx for frozen transfer, so about $3000 to try again with a frozen embryo. Dr.n can find you lovely appartment $60 a night, half price of a hotel. He's like a FS and a travel agent, lol.

I said we were getting a taxi with kostas from the airport to the clinic. He said, "Kostas brings me a lady from Australia everyday". Poor hubby has to go to the clinic from the airport after 24 hour flight plus 4 hours drive to airport in sydney, to make his "deposit", eeek! I just told DH that. He shrugged and said, 'no worries'. God luv 'im.
Your hubby sounds really relaxed about the whole process which is great! I'm in WA so my flight is a bit shorter...via Dubai is about 17hrs. I mentioned the thread to him too and he said "people think it's mine but it's really not mine" lol. He really is amazing, he called me out of the blue on my mobile and had sent me a mail earlier saying we must talk tonight! He wanted to discuss the donor and she sounds like a really good match. He's so on the ball, I'm really impressed so far. He told me he woke to a message from a lady in Australia who gave birth this morning to a baby boy, he read her beautiful message thanking him for making her dreams come true and he sounded so genuinely happy and excited for her. He just seems so genuine and caring. He also said it was no problem to see me on a Sunday if I arrive then, he seems to work 7 days.

@winsor oh and you get to be in lovely athens on an overseas holiday whilst doing an ivf cycle-that almost makes it worth it AND ive already spent that much on my own egg cycles with much less chance of actually working. Lol, and if you get twins, then they're on sale at half price. Come join the greece donor thread mate even just to check it out. Im sorry about railroading this thread with greece donor spam if anyone's getting sick of it. Everyone seems very tolerant though, even when they're struggling, so thank you ladies xox
