@Bongley. Big congratulations on Lo arrival. Hope you are all doing well
When we started we were given 20% chance. When we started trying for no 2, the chance has gone down to 5%. That was over the course of 4 years

@Bradders - Great to hear your appointment went well and you have a new plan in place and slso saving you money by not doing the testing you should hopefully get some lovely eggs and sperm from your donors that make beautiful embies x
@Maxwellsmum - Great that you got yiurself seen to asap and beet it with the antibiotics. It often crosses my mind how much I am exposing my self to the chances of cancer, I have generally been on the fertility drugs for 3 years now which is quite a long time and iften wonder what the hormones can be doing to me. It's scary but we are so determined to get that baby as an end result that we will do anything to succeed. My family has a history of cancer issues so I am very aware of the fact I am putting myself at risk.
Enjoy your pizza lunch sounds lovely x

What an uncaring and insensitive Prick!!! He didn't have to be so brutal in his delivery to you about it even if it was true!!! Should've told him to shove his consultation fee fair up his a r s e!!! (I know you would've been too shocked and distressed at the time to do that).
I'm so sorry you had to go through that experience Luv
Sept 14 will be here before you know it, then it'll be off to Greece you go to pick up your baby/ies!!!

Yes Luv, I do worry about what possible adverse effects the IVF meds may have in the future...mainly the risk of contracting some type of cancer
Who's to say if I did end with the "Big C" that it wasn't the 20-odd years I was taking the contraceptive pill for that didn't cause it?? Or the years I (stupidly) spent smoking?? Would it be related to the CIN III I'd had in the past (when I was 23 yrs old that resulted in a Cone Biopsy being performed)?? Would I be predisposed to it due to the fact both my Mum and Grandfather (her Dad) died of lung cancer (granted both were a consequence of smoking)???
I guess, for me, I'd never be able to directly point the finger at the IVF meds. As it stands from the research I've done, there's been no studies etc actually proving a definite link between IVF meds and cancer (not that I've read anyway). Doesn't mean it still doesn't concern me, because it does.
It's a risk we're all willing to take/have taken in order to create the family we all so desperately want.

@Bongley wow congrats on little Alex and a bonus appendicitis! Hope you are recovering well.
Im apparently PUPO and feel so very blessed to have ONE perfect blastocyst on board. The plan was a double transfer, but apparently I have 2-3 that will be frozen today. So transfer Plan B wasnt needed. I cant believe I just wrote that. Ive never seen a blastocyst before. Im happy and healthy (despite my cold) and cant ask for more at this point.

It's funny, I always accepted that I felt bad while cycling but always seemed to bounce back no worries.
This time it's different though. For some reason, ever since my March cycle my health has taken an awful nose-dive.
My weight increased, as it always does with each cycle But aside from that, my joints are absolutely stuffed. My shoulders are so painful I swap sides all night trying to find a comfortable position in bed. I can't hang up washing any more because it hurts to hold my arms up to the line. My right knee is excruciatingly sore. And my hips....well, you all know I'm the least likely person to want to DTD, but if I was so convinced into doing so, my hips are so sore I can't really open my legs apart very far. I am a mere shadow of my flexible self! Even putting on my shoes and socks hurts my hips. I have no idea WTF is going on, but this new 'normal' is not fun.
I can only assume that all the poison (aka: meds) I've pushed into my body over the past 2 years have contributed to all of this. Surely it can't just be the fact that I've aged another 2 years? I'm only 42 FFS! I hadn't considered the possibility of cancer before. Until now. Thanks for that!

The second cat is even worse - she licks the gravy off the tinned food and that's it! For a week, all she's had is gravy. It is breaking my heart TBH, but the vet says 'persist.' She has not done #2's for 2 days now. Nothing to process I guess?
Both are bright enough but they are not spending as much time playing/chasing each other as they used to. I'm not sure if that's because they have no energy because of their restricted food intake, or because they are calmer in general with the Feliway diffuser I installed last week
