Ok so it works out to be just over $14,000 worst case with $5,500 back? Does this sound right

I think more like just over $10K. With private health you'd get about $6.5K back (covers the bed, anaesthetics).
    Where are you getting $14K?

hey im new to the group but im currently going through icsi to try conceive with my husband. we have been with concept from the beginning, i think they are great. unfortunately we have had alot of bad luck though, i got 14 eggs from my 1st cycle and had only 2 fertilize, one didnt take and my frozen embryo i found out this morning (was meant to have transfer done today) didnt survive thawing over night so i start a new full cycle in a few weeks. the costs with concept are great, it was just under 11 grand for the full cycle the blood tests are majority rebatable by medicare, when we got the big bill of 10500, we took it to medicare who rebated straight to concept for 3380, and they have us on a payment plan at 200 a week and have let us continue with our fet and signed us up for our other cycle as long as we continue the 200 a week. there are no upfront costs which are amazing as that really helps out and when we have spare money we pay more each week. they are great there, the nurses are ao friendly and really take the time out to get to know you on a personal level and make you feel so comfortable even the guys who do the blood test like to have a chat and get to know you to.

Hi Breezah I completed an IVF cycle with Concept in November-December 2015 which has resulted in a successful pregnancy so far (35 weeks so far). I found them to be very very busy in the mornings for blood tests and ultrasounds, and some of the nurses a little grumpy when they called in the afternoons with an update but I think that could apply to any clinic. They were in a convenient location for me and my OB that my GP referred me to used them so I didn't bother to look at the other clinics. I liked that they are open 7 days a week and had the day hospital at the clinic too. I think my cycle was about $10000 including Concept costs and drugs (but not the day hospital fees which my insurance covered) and then I got about half back from Medicare. I did have my first cycle cancelled on Day 8 and only had to pay a few hundred dollars I think. Good luck with your cycle.
