A sausage sizzle at a polling station! How typically Australian. :-)
We don't get anything like that in the UK, but then voting is not compulsory. Maybe if they gave out sausages the turn out would be better! :-)

Well there's a huge line to vote at our local school - luckily I voted earlier but just popped over to get my sausage sizzle and some cake from the tuck shop - pretty convenient living right across the road!

I went at a really busy time (lunchtime) to make sure i got a sausage! Didn't mind standing in line...it added to the atmosphere.

We went just before lunch. There was a line but it went pretty quickly. DD slept through it all. We tried to explain voting to a 3yo while we waited.
Got a sausage. Walked around the school showing DS as he will go there in 2 years.

We went about 8:30am and there was no line. The keeners who were there at 8am had already voted and the rest of the world was still getting up. There was a constant trickle of people but not enough to create much of a line and our polling station was next to the local market so it was probably busier than most in the morning.

I went at 2pm and there was a massive line and no parking. So I went to a nearby booth and it was pretty much empty 😊

We went at 5pm and queue was 20min
They even offer us to jump the queue because of our kids (1 and 3yo) which didn't seem fair so we queued 😁
