    Default Hello 😊

Hi ladies! May I join you??
I'm 37 (38 in feb) and my man is the same age as me.
We are TTC #2.... #1 is about to turn 6 in November! We have since been through two separations and reconciled and all has been wonderful for about 18 months now so it's time to try and complete our family!!
I've been reading the thread and all the acronyms are coming back to me! I haven't done this or even thought about it since 2009! It took us 9 cycles to conceive DD and we have only JUST started this month.
My cycles used to be 27 days but for the past year or so have dropped right back to 24, or even 23. I'm worried my LP won't be long enough.... I've booked a GP appt for tomorrow at 11am just to discuss cycle length etc as my dad's sisters and his mum all went through menopause at around 38 😬
Any immediate suggestions? I have forgotten things like taking Vitex! That's just for up until you're ovulatiin yeah? Anything else I should consider supplementing!!! How could I have forgotten all this stuff!!! It used to be my life!
Sorry for waffling but my first post I guess and a little nervous!
    Thanks for having me!
Best of luck and warmest regards to you all ☺️☺️

Welcome! I would say seeing your GP and getting a referral to a FS would be a good idea given the shirt cycle and family history. I'm taking vitex via my naturopath and she says it's important to take every day of the cycle. But I've heard other things too. I don't think I'd take something like vitex without the support of a naturopath to ensure its right for your cycle. Good luck!

Hi, I had bloods on Friday, the results confirmed I was going to ovulate Saturday or Sunday, and now I'll go for bloods again this week on Thurs/Fri/Sat to confirm I indeed did. Not sure if that's the same thing? That's the most I've had to endure!

I have an embarrassing question. The answer to which is probably obvious.

The OBGYN wants a sample from DH. Now... how soon after making the sample does the sample have to be delivered to pathology? I was given a pathology slip and a little plastic container to give DH, but no other instructions.
    Ain't nothing embarrassing about that!
We were told 15minutes to get it to pathology. DF chose to go in to the place to "extract", to take the rush and stress out of it (traffic, parking, opening hours urghhhh!)

Default Just turned 39 ttc with new partner.

    Hi
I turned 39 this week. Been tyc with my new partner. I have two kids from a previous relationship. Trying over a year now. Regular cycles until this one. 18 days late but no bfp Doctor putting the fear of menopause in me.
Very sore breasts for 3 weeks. No spotting or anything.
Just waiting. Have a fertility appointment next month but at this stage not considering intervention. Partner being tested as he has never had kids before.
Hoping to find a few like minded people while I wait for AF.

The clinic here has only 3 time slots to bring in a semen sample. 11 am. 1 pm or 2 pm. They don't have facilities at the testing place and we are an hour away from the clinic. Poor man under a lot of pressure! Lol.

It sounds like you are pregnant to me. Give it another 10 days.

After 15 months trying, I finally got my BFP today!!!! I was so certain that I was out this month and was making plans to see my gp for a specialist referral next week. I think I o'd 1 day early so was expecting af yesterday and was so convinced I was out that I only tested when there was no sign of the witch this morning. Already having some nausea so figure I'm in for a tough time with morning sickness again. I still can't believe that I am finally up the duff though!!!

For those wanting to know what helped - I took vitex for the entire cycle for the first time (I usually only take until o when I use it) and actually used it when I conceived my DS so I think that's a huge help for me. The other thing is that I got my weight down to the exact figure it was when I fell pregnant with DS too.

Baby dust to you all xxx
