No it's an indicator that ovulation has occurred. I was worried I hasn't because despite all the other signs (CM, CP, OPKs) I hadn't had a temp spike, finally got it today at about 6dpo!

Also had a good visit to GP today. Got a heap of blood tests, urine test, and a pelvic ultrasound to check for any abnormalities. I'll go back next week for the results but he said the only reason he won't refer me straight to an FS next week is if I'm pregnant. He said at my age (36), four cycles is plenty and he probably would have referred me earlier if I'd asked. Looking forward to seeing if there's anything up with my tubes, ovaries etc and putting my mind at ease.

    Hope everyone is going ok.
I've bought a truckload of OPK for this month. Let's go!

Hope it comes earlier this time! I'm thinking of starting the temping thing, but I don't get up at the same time each day and I'm often woken during the night. Doesn't that mess it up? I actually think I've might have o'd super early, like cd7 !? Dtd cd6 (phew) but DH is away atm so no more bding for a few days

I get broken sleep too and wake at different times (always early though!).
This is my first month temping and my chart looks pretty crazy. Funnily my temp is always higher on waking than any other time during the day! Not sure if my chart looks crazy because of the broken sleep or just because I'm having a very weird cycle!

Ok - I've decided to start temping after AF arrives. The vitex has made me feel less clear about when I'm ovulating. Do you use an app? I did it with ds1 but that was 9yrs ago! And I didn't have a smart ph

I actually use three (yes I'm a bit obsessive lol!). Most people use Fertility Friend, but I also like Glow. I'm going off Ovia as it got everything really wrong thing cycle.
I find the vitex adds confusion too as it is giving me fertile looking CM a long time before O.
I ordered a cheapo bbt thermometer off eBay today as I'm just using a fever one at the moment that only goes to one decimal place so I don't think it's accurate enough as my chart is all over the place!
    When is AF due again?

It's where you take your temperature every morning as soon as you wake and plot it on a chart (usually using an app). It helps you estimate when you have ovulated. This is a good article on it
