    I was just thinking that. I've taken DD, age 4 a few times and she loves it! Last time, they showed us Saturn and we could see the rings and everything!And this time of year is perfect because the sun goes down early and they can have a look through the telescopes without being home too late.

    Also, it isn't really a birthday present, but for those that have kids who love space.... there is an app called Skyview free where you can point your phone at the sky and it tells you what star or planet you're looking at. DD loves it!

    While this is not Sydney, if any BH members r in Perth, there is an once a year astrofest at te Curtin oval. It is a big event.
