Default Gift ideas for 4yo who loves space, planets etc

My DS is turning 4 soon and is very interested in space - always asking about the moon, planets, earth etc and also into spaceships and rockets. I'm interested to hear if anyone has any recommendations for things I can buy him to help him to learn more about it. I've thought of a globe and a telescope and possibly the mobilo space shuttle. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Not anything specific but if you have an Australian Geographic store nearby they often have space related kids gifts including telescopes. Maybe a solar system kit?

    This.

Have a look at their website too if there is no store near you.

U must have bought the right kind of telescope to use it as a casual tool as well. Some telescopes give u an upside down image. it might not be too fun seeing upside down boats.

I see that they are already many good suggestions.

If you want to call $500 for a telescope a casual tool then go ahead but nothing upside down about this one.

I don't think pp was using the word 'casual' flippantly - rather to describe one a kid can use for a variety of play experiences rather than just looking at stars.

Sorry if you misinterpreted what I said. I am by no mean trying to offend you. I was just saying if one wants to use it other than looking at stars, makes sure to check it doesn't give you upside down image.

Some great ideas here, thanks! I hadn't thought of Aust Geographic so that's a definite go-to place.
