I actually quite like the name, and Ike as a nickname would be nice. It would probably be a bit too out there for me to use personally, but I don't dislike it.

It's not about whether others like it as much as it is about whether your son will like it. I feel like he's going to end up choosing to be called Jack rather or will get a nickname because it's too hard to pronounce or spell

I like the name however it's also the name of a villain from a very famous 90's PC game. So it would always be associated with that for me!

Love it. Icarus Jack just sounds so good together.
For what it's worth I don't think icky is that bad as far as nicknames go. You could also get Russ as a nickname

Don't like it, just makes me think of a virus or fungal infection for some strange reason.
But it's your kid if you like it go for it.
Love the name jack tho!

I like the sound as I like the mythology thing - it's the first and only thing I think of when I hear the name - but would be slightly deterred only because Icarus was so flawed and ultimately met a tragic end!
