For the OP. I had a Mirena for a few years put in by gyno/OB, they also specialised in women's health. Had it for a few years the. Taken out. Never had any issues with it no periods nor spotting not cramping.

I am so not looking forward to AF returning I feel it will be rearing its ugly head real soon.
After my second baby they came back with a vengeance So so heavy. They did settle down after some time.
I am very lucky as when I breastfeed I don't get them back for ages (I demand feed day and night) my 4th is 16 months so its only a matter of time. I hope they don't come back heavy this time.

You might call me a hippy from Byron Bay, where people have long ago questioned main****** medicine and cottoned on to what many discount as being mere "quackery". Yes, many of my associates are very high-earning, well-educated people who dare to "play against the rules".
Well, you can say what you want about me, I'm immune to your labels. This is what I truly believe. Over the course of 15 years I have witnessed many people worldwide benefit greatly from my father's business in alternative health and healing.
Pharmaceuticals are NOT designed to heal us. They're designed to make money. You can call me what you want, but in time you'll experience the nasty side effects and a little voice may say to you "it was that drug."
Sorry to be so outspoken. I'm realising my extremist views are not really welcome on this forum. But honestly, it astounds me that so many people are still brainwashed into taking these rubbish drugs, without questioning what they're doing to the body. Look deeper, do some research, if something is out of order - question, question, QUESTION!
You've studied medicine for ten years or whatever, all I can say is well done for surviving that alone. But come on. Sooner or later everyone will need to wake up. It's not just Dr Mercola that talks "quackery". Look up David Wolf, Daniel Reid, hell, even model Miranda Kerr and her mum are speaking out about it. Is she a "quack" too? She looks pretty healthy to me!
Just wanted to put it out there, as obviously its your choice in the end what you put into your body. You may take it or leave it.
I'm not going to come back here to read the mean backlash I'll inevitably receive for speaking out. I honestly have better things to do with my time! Just know that I'm coming from a place of genuine concern and only wish everyone on this planet the best health they can possibly have, free from any pain and unexpected, "domino style" side effects 😌

"I'm surprised that apparently being in the medical field" reeks of sarcasm and is insulting to the knowledge that J37 has kindly shared during her time on BH. That's not going to help your cause.
Miranda Kerr's mum is a terrible voice against main****** medicine. She scare mongers people by sharing the flu vaccine issue from several years ago and tells people it's a current issue.
If pharmaceuticals were solely to make money, they wouldn't bother spending tons of money and years researching and creating medicines and would just vary the packaging of the same placebo drug. That would surely give those greedy mongrels a much bigger profit
Also, you do realise that natural or alternative medicines that have substantially proven effacy are then sold on the 'main******' market. What is your opinion of that? Are they no longer effective because big pharma got ahold of them?
