    Because it's a myth. Only the extremely rich pay no tax. Sorry you're disappointed and I agree the threshold should be raised but this is a myth. DH and I don't earn a million don't get me wrong but we pay shed loads of tax.

    There are very few ways to legally minimise tax these days.

    Yes it's a myth. A few years back I paid $150K in tax in one year 😁. That's was just me! DF paid about the same again.

    We just did DH's and I was surprised how much less he is getting back compared to previous years.

    Counting my lucky stars. Just went out for lunch and dh slipped on some stairs and fell flat on his back with 3 month old ds in the ergo carrier. So close to absolute disaster.

    That doesn't seem right to me...I earned 48,000 last fin year and paid approx $8500 in tax! Haven't done my return yet though.
