    I'd say that would not be the surge but hormone fluctuation from menstruation. How long on average is your cycle?

    @JR03 sorry to pop my head into one of your posts again. Thought i might be able to help though as i am doing the same thing and this is what i am noticing with my cycles.

    I start doing OPK's as soon as AF has finished and get no second line for a few days. Then a few days later around CD10 for me, i start to get a faint second line for around 4 more days. It then disappears completely again for around 4 days. Then starts to come back again and in full force a few days before O.

    LH can be present in your system all the time so the faint second line that we see, means absolutely nothing.

    One thing I have been doing is doing an OPK each day and then sticking it to a piece of paper with the CD on it, so you can refer back to it during your current cycle to see if you get a particular pattern happening.

    Have you tried using the Clearblue advanced digital OPK?

    Random google pic attached as an example.

    I've had some crappy days at work this week, but I enjoy my newly developed routine of sitting in bed each night reading this forum

    I'm CD 6 and will leave for a 2.5 week holiday to Vietnam on Friday! I'm excited to get away with my hubby!

    Might be a ray of hope still... just took my menstrual cup out and... nothing! What i had earlier today was brown tinged cm, which is not how my AF usually starts.

    AF is due tomorrow... fx!

    @rhee1980 thank you I saved that to my phone! Maybe I should make it my background photo hahaha!
    @champagne @Aleethee welcome!

    I started clearblue digital OPK, first time using these. As usual I'm paranoid what if it isn't giving me the right answer! Does anyone pop theirs out and stare at the test sticks? They look very light to me still, but the last 2 days they've given me a flashing smiley face. Thinking ovulation will be Saturday or Sunday. DH is working overnight tonight, so hoping he isn't too tired to DTD tomorrow.... I'm working from home to make sure it happens! Haha! Any tips?
