    Anyone I've known whose name is pronounced Lee-La is spelt Leila or Leela (from Futurama haha). I've only ever heard Lila being pronounced Lie-lah

    Also just thought could be because Lilo (as in Lilo & Stitch) is pronounced Lee-low and so Lila would be Lee-lah. That's just the way my brain works.

    How were you intending to to be pronounced?

    I know I leela and she spells it that way. for me:

    Lila = lie-lah
    Leela = lee-lah
    Layla = lay-lah
    Leila = lay-lah

    even though the last two are pronounced the same way, I prefer the spelling/appearance of Leila
