    @reecey5 welcome.

    In my failed cycle I used Elonva. My FS really likes it but the protocol in general wasn't for me. I didn't put failing down to anything in particular but I felt the timing and everything was off. I didn't even get to EPU. I hope it works for you as I've read great things!

    Thanks so much @jess8383

    Our FS believes that the issue we had with the last cycle is because of the immaturity of the eggs, so he thinks this is the solution. I have read really positive things about it too, but it's good to hear your experience to compare it to. Do you mind if I ask why your FS originally went with Elonva for you?

    @jess8383 no I've only ever transferred one at a time, but we are now down to our last two from 6 frosties (also had one fresh transfer in 2014 with none to freeze), so we just want to put them both back this time. Feels like I'll be dragging it out if I don't. My embies were all frozen at day 5
    @reecey5 I've only used gonal f so can't help with elonva sorry. But welcome fingers crossed for your next cycle

    @pingc383 We are doing a low dose stim FET so no eggs to collect, I did trigger on Friday night & could feel ovulation on Sunday! Transfer is tomorrow... We have 4 embies from a cycle I did in 2012... Hubby is flying home from work tonight so he can with me, plus I'm taking Ativan so need help getting there & back!

    @pingc383 only the one transferred yesterday ended up officially making it to blast by day 5 but two were oh so close yesterday. I will get a call today to let me know if they can be frozen, but no the other two didn't make it
    @reecey5, I think originally with a male factor diagnosis my FS thought I'd be very straightforward and thought that with no issues with me, my age (32) and everything going to plan that it would be the most 'patient friendly' option since its a long acting FSH. There were a few unexplained issues with me not responding in the end. He told me I was a medical mystery lol. I had a haemorrhagic cyst that looked like I'd ovulated, but no bloods to reflect ovulation. It has since disappeared.

    Thanks everyone for the positive vibes, day 1 post is being kind, I'm trying to keep busy at work to make the day fly by!

    Hi all, sorry I haven't been around, got really busy the peg few days and haven't caught up with this thread. I found out today that the 2 embryos which were going fine until yesterday (Day 5) and got to mid blastocyst stage but stopped growing last night. So now we don't have any embryos this cycle. The embryologist said if we were doing a transfer now, they would have frozen the embies yesterday (we were going to do a PGD FET).
    It felt as if someone has kicked me in the stomach even though I was mentally preparing myself for this outcome. I believe this may have happened because of poor egg quality? Now have to wait for my doctors appointment and see when we I can start stimming again. So much work and pain for no outcome in the end is disappointing but nothing we can control. Hope you all are going strong and look forward to hearing some good news here when I catch up with this thread.

My new FS today was going on about how it really improves egg quality... She was going to do one cycle with me without it and introduce it if I had none make it to day 5. I cycle end of next month and nervous as hell because my embryos are fragmented by day 3, so not much hope for day 5........
    I'm so sorry to hear this news. When's your next appointment with your FS?
    pingc383 yes it may have been the protocol I was on, I'm 35+ but none of the FS here have been concerned about egg quality even though I've enquired what I can do to improve it. My FS in the US (Braverman) did put me on a supplement which had melatonin, Coq10, turmeric and two other antioxidants - there supplement was mainly for endometriosis and I took it for a couple of months. It was proving to be way too expensive so I got FS here to write me a prescription for Melatonin 4mg which I have been taking. Have heard about DHEA but never tried it. I'm wiling to try anything that may help with egg quality. I'll ask my FS about DHEA when I see him next. I haven't made an appointment with him yet as I'm wanting to switch FS.

    @Mongol sorry to hear your news, it is never easy. Out of interest have you read the better baby book by Lana Asprey? She is a US doctor who has written about improving 'genetics' and egg quality using diet and supplements. Her husband is the creator of the bulletproof diet. It is all very interesting. I have been following the protocol for other reasons and have noticed very positive outcomes. I do hope you get some answers soon xx

    AFM I had my first scan today and second bloods. Bloods are all good but I have ended up with 6 follicles thanks to Clomid so levels are not where they need to be for trigger just yet. My lining is 6mm which is a bit low but fingers crossed the vitamin E and viagra keep doing their thing. I have blood test and scan again Friday
