we went and met 'pudding' but it didn't go well. he was ok when he was in the cage but they let him out and he let us pat him for a bit then he just kept getting angry and biting so I had to say we'd think about it. there was also another person's name down as having interest in him - they didn't have my name even though I'd sent the webform and called during the week. he kept giving me cranky looks too.

so we went to the cat protection society and found this little lady, Mandy. she's a lovely gently lady. 8yo. her previous owner went to a retirement home and they didn't accept cats (which I think is not very nice of them, really sad). she's settling in well tonight. her coat gets a striated/pixelated look to it so we might call her Pixel. (Mandy sometimes if she prefers). we love her little koala nose too.

@winsor Mandy Pixel has kind eyes.. Pudding has those crazy Kirsten Dunst eyes. Congrats on the new addition. Love the Koala Bear reference. My puppy looks like she is permanently wearing a tux.

yes, Pudding looked very photogenic in his profile shot but he was a bit wilder in person. I think he would have ripped my niece to shreds

Pixel/Mandy's very gentle. she's resting now next to me on the couch as it's been a big day.

oh a tuxedo dog! almost twins with @tuxcat's girl (cat)

Would love any thoughts and advice about how to get my head around all of this! I just want to hear there is some kind of hope!

Take a notebook etc with you and write stuff down is my advice!!! Questions you might want to ask and anything Dr Andy says that you might want to follow up/research later on...write it down as often the consultations can be so overwhelming and full on you can forget things that have been said or you've wanted to ask after you get out of them!!!

There is always hope Luv even though the odds may not be in our favour due to age. Nevertheless, the chances aren't zero!!! Dr Andy will be able to tell you better what your chances are (called the Live Birth Rate..ask him about that for your age group) and how many Cycles or transfers of embryo's that's likely to take etc as he will have his own success rate as will the Clinic.

We are all here to help you get you get your head around anything you might need assistance with or don't understand etc ok Luv?? There's a lot of experienced (unfortunately) Lovelies here on the thread who will be more than happy to guide you through or answer questions, explain things etc

    She's beautiful Luv!!

I must say, as soon as I read her name I heard Barry Manilow start up in my head "Oh Mandy...Well you came and you gave without taking, but I sent you away, Oh Mandy".....

    What a shame about Pudding

Maybe the other person who's name is on the list will have better luck with him??
