@Tinachris - Great news on the four follies hun have you had a bt too and compared E2 levels?
@Bongley - Sorry to hear of your friends bfn hun this journey is so hard.
@Bradders - Good luck for your FET next week hun, great news that your little embie has been upgraded. Hopefully you won't need that plan b but nice to have it up your sleeve.
@Blossom74 - You are so right but its so sad that in our current world with all the science we now understand there are so many of us ladies hanging onto luck as our only possibility of pregnancy 😳. We have only just started doing the testing of embryos in the last few cycles but in my first Wazza cycle I got a bfp that ended up in a blighted ovum and we are presuming it was just not chromosomally normal and that was Wazza's opinion too.

Quick question for you ladies and I know this is a personal opinion but how many pgd normals from an OE cycle would you put back before giving up? I was meant to ask Wazzas opinion on this this other day but forgot.

    Hi all
I had a catch up with an IVF buddy the other day, and she told me something interesting and is happy for me to share with you all. She has had many failed transfers so went to a naturopath and it was discovered her body wasn't absorbing the progesterone.
    I'll give the basic version,
So when she had her bloods done by the clinic yes her levels were fine as it was post progesterone dose but then her levels would drop below acceptable levels. Her levels were basically having massive peaks and then massive drops. So when there where "drops" the levels weren't high enough to sustain an embryo.
Now she is on supplements from the naturopath her levels are staying consistently above what is therapeutic.
I'm not usually into alternative therapies but she showed me the data (and probably explained it much better) and I thought it was interesting and maybe valuable info for some of you.
She may pop on this thread as well and may expand on my version.

Ps- is there going to be some stick action tomorrow?????

Thanks gals. I must admit when she got the one PGD normal I was sooooo happy for her but at the same time knew it could still fail. She's devastated and staring down the barrel of being childless..... we've all been there. Its just EVERY ONE of our friends (and all her family) has babies now. At least when I started out doing IVF there were lots of friends with no kids to lean on and whinge to and get drunk with. I don't know if DE is something she and her partner would consider (previously said no but not sure if minds could change). I couldn't promote it any better than in my current situation but flapping my preggo belly at her isn't something I'm wanting to do either. So agonising to see someone else go through the pain of it all

Welcome back @Bradders I remember you as well, best of luck with your blast. Glad you have a plan B in place too. I know DE isn't a magic bullet by far but it can be a real comfort to know its not the end.

sorry to hear about your friend @Bongley. it is hard when everyone else has bubs around you. I have one group of friends who all have kids and another group who don't (& are still going out, but I get too tired thinking of that most times apart from reunions).

    glad you're feeling better @Charlie74

    welcome back @Bradders
@Tinachris well done on your follies! good luck for EPU.

that's interesting @MissDa. there's just so many pieces to the puzzle/places to go wrong. it's hard to keep up

not much news from me re ivf/DE. had an early start this morning for work / customer launch. am considering getting a cat from a shelter - we're going to meet him on sunday & see if he likes us. this might be my only baby. he looks very similar to my sister's cat that I cat-sat recently (& DP's sister has one similar looking too). just hoping work travel doesn't start up again. so far it seems ok. I hope he settles in ok and feels comfy (it's a small place here)

Hi Guys! I have ended up going into a back-to-back cycle instead of waiting so am on day 8 now. Unfortunately I just read that the Puregon I'm on comes from hamsters. This is actually devo news for me as I am a 'do least harm' vegetarian. Although I plan to finish this cycle I can't see myself feeling ok to do another knowing animals have suffered for me to have the medication. Has anyone else felt this or had a similar situation?

thanks, yes I'll post some pics when he's home. this is his online (dating?) profile pic. he's a pretty boy. and I just noticed he's 2 yrs 3 months which almost lines up to our first FS appt for IVF..

thanks for your suggestions about whippets too @Bongley. I ended up deciding the apartment is too small for a dog. maybe if we move to a house later. then I fell in love with this little man.
