@MissDa 2 cells is perfect! You sound sooo much better today, go YOU for booking the restaurant! Have a lovely time, you deserve some fun!
@Caesardust woo hoo! how exciting!! As far as the psych goes, I would just drum it home to them how hard its been and that you have been quite depressed, relationships have been strained, you've found it hard to be social etc etc. You've probably been feeling those things anyway so just emphasise how much it has affected you and your DP. Don't play anything down. I don't imagine its too hard to show how hard its been!!! They may get you to fill out one of those questionnaire things about your mood - its a multiple choice thing. It gives a point score about levels of depression, decreased mood etc. Good luck!

I've not done this myself but I have seen someone else's successful application.
There was a letter from both her FS and her GP who made note that she had suffered depression as a result of not being able to have a baby, and that whilst she recognised further IVF attempts may not be successful she felt desperate to give it one last go.
She said once she visited her GP she told him everything - she spoke of the failed cycles, her desperate need to have a child, her pain at seeing others with babies, and her MC's. Said it was very emotional but at the end of the day, this is not the time to hold back. Your super fund won't release the money early unless it can be proven you are suffering mental distress due to not being able to have a child. As painful as it is, be as truthful as you can

@MissDa, sounds like your emby is on track - cell division has begun which is great news. good luck for the next stage. & have a good time at dinner tonight
@Caesardust, yes I agree with the others, be truthful and explain the effects on you from the cycles/meds/results. good luck. and congrats on organizing your donor!
thanks everyone for the messages. we feel OK, actually encouraged that the process on EDA site works. our PD was almost perfect. if she'd been a tad younger there would have been no question. I've noticed since some clinics have 38 as upper limit for donations. my clinic (& their DE guide) recommend 35 max. so hopefully we made the right decision. time will tell. I guess if we're going down the DE route, we'd like to remove as much risk as possible even if that's selfish & might sound unappreciative. (I'm scared of m/c again, even though there's no guarantees even with a younger donor) we are very grateful for her consideration and think it's amazing she's so generous to consider helping people in this way.

@MissDa 2 cells means it's dividing so that is a good sign.
@winsor I am sorry to hear that your first donor contact didn't work out but I am encouraged that you have had interest already.
@tegs26 Congratulations on your singleton. Seeing your little bean is the best feeling.
@BlondeinBrisvegas no more bad vibes come your way. I agree with the others that the garage door is definitely number 3. A nice little run of good luck should be coming up for you now.
Congratulations on making 12 weeks @AnnaMM Such a great relief to get past that point.
Anyone know if the graduate thread got up and running? I have had my head in the sand for weeks now. Just coming out of the haze now (I hope).

How bloody exciting Luv!!!
I've never done it but agree with the other Girls advice. Just bloody-well tell him/her just how badly all of this sh!t has frucked you over in every part of your life...physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, the impact it's had on your relationships with family and friends, DH etc, etc. Lay it all out on the line as difficult and distressing as it no doubt will be for you

One of the ladies on the greek thread posted an article about mums transfering their own DNA to DE babies. I thought it was an interesting read but found an article with slightly more detail.

Wow thanks for that article @faithandhopellove! This area is so interesting and I think it's really positive when you are embarking on donor eggs. I hope you are doing well, and bubba is making you smile, even through tiredness. And if you're in need of a hug..here's one. Who isn't always in need of a hug!
@winsor sounds really positive and I'm sure it's just the start of PD's getting in contact
