A huge thank you to everyone who read and responded to my post. I'm grateful that I'm not alone feeling like this and don't feel like I'm going mad now! Not sure where I go from here but I continue to love and cherish the two boys I've been blessed with.

From someone who HAS to do IVF be thankful your having a baby is not dependant on $15,000 per go. I have one child and would sincerely love one more. Boy or girl I would be happy.

I would love 3 or more children. I may only have one because we ran out of money. And now I'm getting older.

Please be happy with the two beautiful children you have. It doesn't matter blue or pink. Especially if they are both healthy.

I would love to conceive naturally and not have my family number dependant on money. And I wouldn't care if it was 7 boys or 7 girls just so long as they were healthy.

sorry my two very honest two cents

Default Desperately longing for a daughter

Wiccan it's worth reading the thread I started about gender selection. A lot of very good information about gender disappointment. This has nothing to do with not loving or appreciating the kids you have.

I'm sorry you may not get to have the family you want. Your grief is not in any way diminished by these ladies also grieving for the families they didn't get to have.

I'm sure the OP is grateful she hasn't had to do IVF and that she absolutely does love the the children she has. Loving and being happy with your existing children, and still longing for one of the opposite gender, aren't mutually exclusive options.

It's completely normal to mourn in some way for the children you don't have, and that's something you and the OP and so many of us who've commented here have in common. It's not about being dissatisfied with our children - it's about missing the other children we wish we also had, whether that missing child is a boy or a girl, or no. 2 or no. 3, 4, 5 or 6. We all feel a sense of loss, to varying degrees.

with due respect no one here has said ANYTHING about not being happy with the children they do have,
and the op is seeking others who feel the same as her, not people to condecend her
