    Default IVF Canberra experiences

    Hi there
I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Fertility Specialists in Canberra? We are doing a donor cycle down there (Im from Sydney) so am looking for a new FS. We are looking mainly at Genea but I am open to hearing about anyone good really and your experiences. Or anyone that isn't so good if thats been your experience.

You can pm me if you prefer to not mention names in here.

    thanks

We did ICSI with Nicole Sides at Isis fertility. Success with our first first fresh round back in 2010, and we felt very well cared for. No luck with our 2 frozen embies in 2013, but fell preg naturally straight afterwards and had Nicci's support till 12 weeks when transferred to her now fertility practice partner Dr Sim Hom Tam who did all our private OB work until birth.
Nicci is really efficient, talks a million miles a minute but is happy to answer any questions you have and guide you through the process. We had no issues whatsoever with any of the other staff either at her rooms, on the phone or during any of the procedures. Would recommend her without hesitation.

Absolutely, we really consider ourselves so lucky to have had such a great result. Hence my user name on bub hub. I often think about people like yourselves who are trying so hard for a baby and make sure to be thankful even when my boys are being feral!
Nicci took us thru about 12 months of tracking before we went to ICSI, so she is definitely not pushy, or pushing for things unless necessary. First bub was born when I was 37, second when 40.
I wish you the best of luck (& technology) to get your take home baby.

PS, they are only partners in their practice, not in life!! Both married with kids. Lol!

Hi there! I highly recommend Dr Stephen Robson who works with Genea. We went to see him in August 2012. Had 2 cycles of ivf before we fell pregnant with my dd in September 2013. Now pregnant with my second through Steve and due August.

He is absolutely lovely and did a whole heap of testing on both me and my husband before starting ivf. Unfortunately it was a one in a million chance for us to fall pregnant naturally hence isci cycle.

I wish you the best of luck with your journey xo

@Mona424 thank you, I did see his name, its really hard to choose someone when lots of them get a good wrap!! Ive also read a few good comments about Tween Low so now I have to choose. Good to know there are a few options in any case. Thanks again x

I'd recommend Tween Low, she's getting harder to get into see but she's amazing, straight down the line and very thorough. I'd also def recommend Genea. They're expensive but they have really good labs, and the nurses and care is great.
