Not very vocal with my first birth until towards transition when I did some complaining. Was a drug free homebirth
Also screamed with my episiotomy because they couldn't use local.
Second birth was under and hour from first pain to pushing her out in the ambulance also drug free. I was literally smashed with contractions one on top of the other from the get go. So so vocal I couldn't stop it it really helped me do something with the intensity of being strapped down to an ambulance bed and in hard labour. I sounded like Tibetan monk prayer or something! So deep and rhythmic about 3-4 long " orrrrrrrrrrr" sounds per contraction and changing pitch each time ahah. Then I did a few grunts at the end of one of them and next contraction head on view.
Was silent birthing her head as I was concentrating on slowing down to avoid tearing.

How vocal were you in labour?
Ds1 was induced due to mec. Labour went from 0-100km/h in a matter of minutes (or so it seemed to me!!).
Screamed my head off, think they heard me in the next suburb, seriously.
Didn't care then and didn't care now!

With my 3rd, I got to fully dilated but she hadn't actually dropped down yet so the midwife had me standing up, legs apart and rocking to try use gravity to get my baby girl to come down. I yelled out "I'm going to poo!" and she politely told me it's just the baby but nope. I was right. I managed to cover the better part of a big blue gym mat thing that was on the floor and fill what looked like an ice cream tub. Poor midwife. Hubby still likes to remind me of it.

I had an epidural so was calm all three times besides the main pushing part when was just pushing really hard noise maybe but no pain noises.
With my 3rd I was chatting and joking in between pushing when I had contractions. After each contraction and pushing session we would continue our conversations ππ
