Wow I didn't know that this was such an issue for so many people that must be so invonvenient for you. Could you take your handbag in with you and a little spray for afterwards? If that makes you a bit less embarrassed.

I suffer from IBS and sometimes go a few times per day. Luckily my work toilets are in a back building with other rooms and storage, so no one knows if I'm going out to storage or going out to do my business. My friends and partner are all aware of my habits and it's actually a bit of a joke that I need to go at the most inconvenient times! At home if ive been on the toilet for a while and then walk into the loungeroom my partner will say something along the lines of "Im guessing I'll give it half an hour before going out there?" And my reply is "Maybe an hour just to be safe" Lol. Having a sense of humor about it made it much easier for me! !

I only go at work if I absolutely have to (probably only been a couple of times in the 5 years I've worked there). And I hate going in to the toilets and hearing other people's pooing noises, smelling it, or seeing skid marks in the toilet. If I go into a cubicle with a dirty toilet, I'll move to another one

So to those that do go at work, please check the bowl and make sure it's clean.

This!! So many noises and plops.. That's too close for comfort with colleagues in my opinion 😝

If I have to go, I will go. If I have to go at work, I will go. It's a normal bodily function I deal with all the time(I can walk down the hallway at work and know instantly who has opened their bowels)

If I don't go when I need to go, I physically feel sick too and usually have to revisit the bathroom again a short time later.

Doing it at work doesn't bother me...I'm there 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I can't hold it in for 8 hours...and if I do...when it's time to go again it's harder than it would have otherwise been. And having a fissure that opens up if I'm not careful, I have to go when I feel the need.

I do my best to be considerate, though. I hate seeing someone else's skid marks, too.

I would never ever go number 2 at someone else's house, though...and I hate doing it on holiday because a) a lot of the time, the en-suite is not private enough so I try to be soooo quiet that it's annoying and b) there is never a fan or spray available and a lot of the time no window to open!!!

OP, I'm with you. I refuse to poop at work.

Thankfully it's a non-issue for me as my body has trained itself not to get the urge during business hours
