    Wedding dress $2000
    Accessories $ 500
    Bridesmaid $ 100
    Hair / MU $ 350
    Flowers $2500
    Men's clothes $ 1200
    Stationery $1500
    Reception@46 $ 5500
    Gifts for BM etc $750
    Drinks $2500
    Accom $1000
    Celebrant $ 600
    Photographer $2500
    Cake $ 250

    Those are from memory.
We intended to spend $10,000. Then it crept to $15,000 and ended up somewhere near $20,000.

Things I wish I didn't spend so much on:
Dress - it's only one day and mine wasn't great. I've seen far more beautiful dresses made or hired.

Even if I didn't love my cake or flowers, that's still what they would have cost had I gone with someone else.

To lots of people the stationery price would be ridiculous but I loved our stationery suite and wouldn't change it.

Wedding dress $100 (forever new sale) on sold for $50
    veil $80
    Accessories $ 100
Furniture hire and table decoration $700
    Men's clothes $ 150
    Stationery $80
Reception@24 $1800 - caterer came to our place
    Drinks $300
    Celebrant $ 400
Photographer $50 (did a scoop on offer a week after the wedding)
    Cake $ 200

so 4K all up. I was four months pregnant so kind of wanted it simple.

we did splurge on a bit of a Reno (removed two walls, extended open plan kitchen and installed patio door $10k all up) to get the venue (our house) ready and I'm still happy every time I go into there. It's a really nice entertainment area now.

Default How much did your wedding cost...

we got married overseas so had to factor in travel costs, a wedding planner, foreign exchange costs etc. I sort of gave up/didn't bother tracking costs but I reckon all up it was somewhere in the vicinity of $60k in round figures. may well have been more but as I said, we didn't track every dollar. I wish we had have now! ETA: just saw breakdown of costs request. I'll list the costs I can remember lol

my dress : $1800 plus about $60 in alterations
    dh's suit : about $2k plus $300 on shoes
    wedding planner : $3.5k
    catering : $4k (?? - bit of a guess there)
    drinks : $2k (again a bit of a guess)
    flowers : $1k (estimate)
    decorations/equipment rental etc : maybe $6k?
    cake : $500
    accoustic guitar player : $50
    photographer : $3.5k
local permits & cost of wedding license etc : $300
    celebrant : $500

it adds up pretty quick I guess so definitely get a budget set beforehand! and whatever you do, don't get into debt over a wedding! or let anyone else wanting to help share the costs do so! it's one day in your lives! not worth getting into debt over! we saved and the costs were staggered over the year we planned it so we paid it all upfront ourselves and came home debt free which was the best feeling ever.

can't really remember what else we had but the rest would've been the travel costs!

We had a pop up wedding - so the venue & decorations /celebrant/bouquet/photography and champagne was $1,000.

    My dress: $400
DH outfit: $0 (his own suit)

    Makeup & hair: $150

After the ceremony we went out for lunch/drinks: $500 (15 people).

    Good luck with it all!

We got married on the beach with 4 people in attendance then went out for dinner. The next day we had a party at our place for 30 people.
    Dress $300
    Suit $300
    My shoes $50
    DH shoes $100
    Photography $550
    Celebrant $350
    Flowers $40
    Dinner $700
    Party approx $300
So about $2700 all up. It was perfect. We then spent $30k on our honeymoon

My budget is $10k. I would have to look at my spreadsheet for exact figures, but top of my head rounded off figures are:
    Dress $0 (mum is making)
Kids clothes $50 (boys shirts, mum is making the rest)
    Dh suit $1000
Flowers $207 (had a voucher for $350 with the package we chose)
    Stationary $250
    Cake $400
    Reception @ 50 $4400
    Photographer $2500
    Accessories $? Haven't bought yet
    Dj $550
    Celebrant $550
Custom made guest book $7 (made in vista print with photos of us and the kids and used a code to make it free besides shipping)
Other bits and pieces $200 ish I'm hoping!

I'm trying really hard to only purchase within my budget eg my table decorations were going to cost nearly $100 per table with the florist doing them; instead my nana will use flowers from her garden and other ladies from her church will help out if she needs more.
Everything is at the one venue so we don't need fancy cars or anything. It just takes a lot of thought and planning

Ours was cheap. Biggest expense was the photographer. I wanted great photos...in hindsight it was a bit silly because all that happens is they sit in a cupboard in albums. None are on display.
If I had my time again I would've told everyone it was an engagement party and got married. We had a short engagement, but the price blew out a bit because of our parent's perceptions on what our wedding should be (only children who are getting married on both sides of the family). I think it cost $7k in the end. I look back now and think we should have spent about $3k and spent the rest on a holiday.
ETA: We didn't have flowers or a bridal party. My dress cost $700, the photographer $3k. My jewellery $25. My shoes were $30. DH's clothes and shoes were no more than $200. A friend did our invitations. I don't know the cost of anything else.
