I am needing to decide on an OB ASAP and have narrowed it down to Dr. Pillay and Dr. O'Callaghan.
I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with either one or better yet, both! It's hard to make a decision when you don't get to meet them first. I had no idea how quickly they book up!
Also, can anyone tell me how much the 12 week scan costs?

I was with David for both babies and had a great experience. He is a great OB. Won't push for intervention, happy to sit on his hands so to speak and let your body do what's best.
My SIL was with the other doctor you are considering and she loved him!! The only reason I didn't go with him was because he's more expensive than David.
Why don't you make an appointment with both of them? Make this first appointment with your favourite and if you don't gel with him only then go to the other appointment.
I don't think you can make a bad choice here. They are both excellent.

This is exactly what I am weighing up. Is pillay worth the extra.. His receptionist have so far been delightful and very informative and has great reviews. I couldn't get much information from Dr. O'Callaghan's receptionist which is my only doubt, however have read only good things about him too.
How often did you have appointments with Dr. O'Callaghan?
I just realised Dr. pillays name auto corrected in my heading - is there anyway to edit this?

Don't go by the receptionist, she's not the one who will be at the birth 😉
If I remember correctly I'd have 6 weekly appointments in early pregnancy, then monthly then fortnightly and weekly right at the end.
If you have any specific questions outside of these dates and want to see David they'll fit you in.
