We went classic. Our first dance was to 'Wise Men Say' by Elvis Presley. Love it.
I also love the Adele songs you listed.
Never heard of a cake cutting song before. Is that a 'thing'?

When is the wedding btw? And did you find somewhere to honeymoon?

And how long until the wedding?
We had Ben Folds the Luckiest for our waltz. Love that song. Rove n Belinda Emmett used it too..

Apparently. It's on the list I have to fill out for the dj. And when I look it up online there are way too many responses for it to be a coincidence!

My Dj asked us for a song to enter the room, entree music, cake cutting, main meal, dessert, first dance, second dance

Thankfully he was full of ideas and helped to pick most of them

Wow that's a lot of music to choose! We didn't have music for any of that, the band arrived in the evening after the meal was over. Although we had a string quartet at the church and for arrival drinks. But then I got married in the UK and weddings and the structure of the day seem to be different there :-)
Hope it all goes well!!! :-)

Our first dance song was nothing else matters by metallica, it was perfect for us and is so special when I hear it now.

We had Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' for our cake cutting. It was 2008.

Our first dance was to The Beatles 'Two Of Us'.

Then our first 'open up the dance floor and git down' song was Ice Cube's 'You Can Do It'. Seriously, there were 4 people dancing including DH and I. I think it was a bit confronting for some, but we love it

@Mod-Nomsie do you get to choose every song you want played?

I had that option. They even allowed me to choose songs I did NOT want played. Unfortunately the DJ went a bit rogue and decided to throw in crud songs I didn't want (even the trite 'wedding' songs I specifically had on the 'do not play' list). I had to go up to him numerous times and ask what he was doing. At one point he told me he was trying to 'tire out the oldies' when the only elderly person at my wedding was my Nan!

Just be wary as all. This is not the only DJ I've had beef with in the past. Yeah, I'm that woman who feuds with DJs.

This is one of my 'I have to use it at some stage on the day' songs.

Somewhere on my old computer I have our wedding song list, but one of the songs we had at our reception when were leaving was Al Green's 'Lets stay together', that would make a nice first dance song too.

I can't remember what song we had playing for the cake cutting.

I actually like the song list you've come up with @Mod-Nomsie, but I guess it's a bit tricky when you're both not on the same page with the songs, we're both pretty eclectic with our music tastes so it made it a bit easier to please us both.
