    Default Traditional kids party games?

    My boys have asked for a 'home party' .... theyve requested a pinata and pass the parcel.
    I'm loving that they're wanting an "old skool" style partly
    there will be approx 15 kids, average age is 7.

    I'tll be done in the backyard, all grass, its a decent size and i also have a cement undercover varandah.

    Would love some more game ideas? Ive gone blank. Other than pinata and pass the parcel, what party games did we play as kids?

    How long is the party going for? You might find once you've done pass the parcel, piñata, food/drink and cake, and the kids have had a play together, you might not need much more!
    Musical chairs is a good one.
    Treasure hunt around the backyard
    Statues - I think that's what it is. When the music stops everyone has to be still. Anyone moves and they're out.
    Or get some craft stuff and everyone has to decorate their own lolly bag (if you're having them) but this should be done at the beginning so if glue is involved, it has time to dry before everyone goes home.

    But I think if you can create some kind of game that involves cleaning up you should go with that!

    We usually do:
    Pass the parcel
    Pin the tail
    Egg and spoon race
    Treasure or scavenger hunt
    Donuts on a string ( on the clothesline)
    Plus we have a jumping castle and trampoline so the kids are always occupied!

    Definitely put a time frame on it! Treasure hunt, hairspray hair does, bubble blowers

    We had a backyard kids party on the weekend.
    We did pass the parcel, musical chairs and statues.
    The party pretty naturally wound up after 2 hours (5 and 6 years old)
