my mil really upset me on sat night by referring to ds as "the little boy" when on the phone to her sister (who decided some years ago to cut dh and i out for no reason whatsoever). i felt like she was trying to appease her stupid b!tch sister by minimizing our presence there and not even using his name. i feel sorry for dh that his mum isn't, first and foremost, mum to him. she's daughter and sister first, her own sons come second. it's really unfair.

mil continues to raise my ire. dh phoned her last night and i could hear her calling ds "my darling cute little bubby". i honestly think she believes ds is her baby with dh, and/or a reincarnation of dh. i'm not mentioned at all.
just everything that comes out of her mouth of late bugs the $hit out of me. dh asked her last night (well told her lol) if she intends to vote yes to ssm and she said no, how the church doesn't believe in it, how it's wrong etc. sadly, she is not an educated woman and her views are just clouded by and rehashed rubbish that she picks up at church. it pains me that such dumb folk get an equal vote in what is such an important thing in this country.

Have I mentioned that when I had just started mat leave (so still pregnant with DD) MIL was trying to send me back to work to pick up extra shifts for "pocket money" and then she could look after bub. Lady if I wanted to go back to work a couple of months after DD was born I wouldn't have taken 14 months of maternity leave!

Lately when talking about DD everything is "just like her daddy". Some things are totally justified (DD has DHs lusciously long eyelashes), but things like poking her tongue out, smiling, and now DD has started rolling, it's all "just like daddy". I'm pretty sure I can smile, poke my tongue out and roll too MIL.

My MIL did that with DD1, everything was "just like her dad" even though she is a carbon copy of me. Everyone said so, even DH but MIL couldn't bring herself to acknowledge it. It's petty but it bugged me so much. Eventually I put up a baby picture of myself in a picture frame alongside some of DD, the next time she visited she commented on "her cute baby" and how she hadn't seen that outfit before. I admit it filled me with joy to say actually that's a picture of me. She then had to concede oh yes she actually does look "a bit" like you

Mil stays with us on her 28/8 fifo week off. On a school day.. "Gee, what made everyone get up super early this morning? It sure was noisy this morning"

Dd1 gets picked up at 7:25 for a babysitting job she has and we slept in till 7:05 this morning. I heard mil snoring her head off until 7:30 when I went to get into the shower.

Seriously... ??? What time are we all meant to get up to get ready for work, school and get kids and Lunch's ready?
