Yup he is well and truly here now. 5 months old and absolutely adores his big brother...wouldn't change him for the world I named him Luca Jack - Luca meaning bringer of light and he truly has brought so much light into our lives 💖

I still get comments from strangers like oh you must be going to trying for a girl next!
Um nope. Single mum with 2 ivf miracles so I have been blessed with more than I ever thought!
I just smile and carry on now and don't let it get to me

It's possible people picked up on your hopes for a girl and are disappointed for you and feel you are just 'putting on a brave face' to them.

A few open, honest conversations should help. While it's fine for them to feel that way, they need to know that them saying it upsets you.

eta: WHOOPS old thread. Congrats on your baby boy. LOVE the name My three are all Italian names too.

Dont be disappointed or feel sown at others reactions.

    I’m glad your happy.

I do IVF a healthy baby is the goal not the gender. Knowing what i know through IVF its a miracle there are babies at all!

I have had 3 m/c and many failed IVF’s. The goal is a healthy baby. Tell your family this.

I have two boys and I love it so much, they are the best of friends (and the worst enemies ) but it's amazing being a boy Mumma.
I desperately want a third but DH doesn't as he is worried he'll be disappointed if it's another boy, so I understand that gender disappointment is a real thing, but I personally belive that having all kids the same gender is an amazing thing.
Try to shrug off all the horrible comments, we got lots too.
"Oh when are you trying for a girl"
"but every mum/dad needs a daughter"
"but don't you want to give your DH his little princess"
    Ect ect ect
