Default Egg Donation in South Africa #13

Hi everyone -- a quick query as I'm hoping for the best but planning for otherwise, as one does :-)

How much do CFC charge for FETs these days? I have had positive betas now but the doubling times aren't great, so am starting to figure out how much I need to save up to go back over, just in case.

    Hang in there...it's tough hey?
FETs were about $750 aud when I did one last year ... hopefully you won't need to do it though!

Hope all goes well and you don't need it but I contacted CT last month to enquire about a FET and was advised that the cost is R8175 and that there will be a small price rise at the beginning of next year. As emski advised this converts to around AUD$750 at the moment.

many thanks @emski2 and @landi68... yeah my first two betas were OK (157 at 4w to 420 at 4w3d), but then only went from 420 to 620 between 4w3d and 5w (yesterday). I've got another appointment on Tuesday.

So looks as though FET could be about $2000 flights, $750 transfer, gestone, plus accommodation, ground transport and food/incidentals. Maybe $3500 all up?

Having our first scan tomorrow. Got to admit that I'm a little nervous. Keep expecting them to tell me that there's nothing there and all this nausea is all in my head.

It's hard isn't it...self preservation kicks in before every damn scan. Keep us posted and all the best for tomorrow, I'm sure there will be many tears of joy. X
