Hi there,
I just want to let you know that while CFC doctors are by all accounts really lovely, the treatment cycle they use is fairly base level. You need to be working with your specialist/s here who will help you with treating any immune/other issues, CFC don't prescribe (for me anyway) steroids, antibiotics or give advice on immune issues...I did that all with my specialist here. The drug protocol from CFC is your basic medicated FET. That said, they don't oppose you using these things but like Aus you'll find some specialists who are all over it and some who say the jury is out on things like intralipids (which they do offer now).
I have factor v lieden, hetero for mthfr, and other auto immune issues so I spent time with my local specialist tweaking my protocol.
Em x

PS I used Dr Le Roux and found him to warm and easy to deal with. Hell answer emails on weekends and always gets back to you.

I agree with what Emski said , and for what it's worth, I used Dr Wiswedel and thought he was great too, although I believe he's on sabbatical right now.
I think you'll find any of the 4 main doctors there will not disappoint.

Congrats Mamakes!
Petulia - I have MTHFR same gene as you have. The Drs here as well as in CFC (Dr Le Roux) have not been overly interested in this at all. However, my natropath is and I have changed to a Raw Prenatal (Garden of Life) which has folate and the appropriate form of B12 for MTHFR which I purchase from iherb. I had to ask my Australian fertility Dr to retest me NK cells and ANA as previously they were high and based on the results we will make the decision whether to do an immune protocol. However, my natropath has me trying to reduce my immune response by removing all foods that I have an intolerance to and some herbs. A good natropath can help with immune issues too and they look at the test results diferently than the fertility Drs, I have really had to push them for testing and assistance.
We are travelling to CFC in June, with colelction scheduled for 8 June and transfer scheduled for 13 June, all going well. So excited, flights booked and first 5 days accomodation booked at the Quadrant across the road and accupuncture all booked with Sarah Hewland. Started down regulation yesterday all set

I also have homo MTHFR and NK Cells. CFC put me on Clexane from day 1, Pred 15mg and intralipids. It's a long time to be injecting Clexane when your transfer isn't until day 27. I'm up to transfer 5 and I've chosen not to do intralipids this time.
Congrats on starting your cycle @AdelMum! Exciting times!!
@kylie764 Fab! What time-ish do you think your transfer might be? I've asked for the latest slot, 1.30pm, so I can fit in a massage beforehand. It also allows me a bit of breathing space if my flight is late that morning. Who is your FS? I'm with Dr M this time. Sing out when you've booked your accom. Are you going over solo? I'm staying The Vineyard.Last edited by Tahli; 06-05-2016 at 14:21.
