Hi all, just keeping you up to date. My cycle outcome is as I suspected - a scan with Wazza today shows a non-viable pregnancy. There was a well-developed sac, but only small remnants of an embryo. We have 4 frosties over there, and have started planning the next stage of the campaign... Wazza suggested thawing them and doing PGD - I've emailed CFC to ask for advice on this.
I'm not as devastated as you might expect - after all our bust IVF cycles, getting a BFP was definitely progress. Now we just have to convert that into a real, live little person next time.

In addition to Em's suggestion, CFC do offer shared egg cycles. Apparently you just need to be very clear about how you divide uneven egg collection numbers. xx

Good morning everyone!
Just a quick update.
I finally got an email back from CFC in relation to my donor - it turns out she has had 4 successful cycles resulting in real live squishy babies, so I am feeling super relieved...
Karin (nurse) didn't give me numbers but said she retrieved a 'good amount' of eggs for transfer and freezing.
Now I'm just waiting, waiting for the treatment plan so we can book things.
So hard watching the accommodation options disappear and the flights going up, up up
I've reserved a cottage in De Waterkant with free cancellation 30 days prior, but without dates, don't even know if this will help us.
I've asked for an estimate in the hope that it may move things along a bit.
Gahhhhhhhh!

Hi ladies congratulations to all bfp's and im sorry to hear about the others. Its so devastating. Ive had 7 failed ivf attempts now and im looking into de options. Specifically pgd testing for gender selection family balancing eg one of each put back each time. Also costs of de cycle in sa and which clinic dr is recommended. Thanks so much any information would be appreciated. í ½í¸€

Hi @infinity888 you can do pgd but I don't think gender selection is legal in SA. Most of us go to cape Fertility clinic in Cape town ...it's about $10kAUD without flights/accommodation or PGD which is a further $3k AUD..I'm factoring $13k for my next cycle Inc flights/4 star accommodation but no sightseeing or leaving the hotel really.
