    If in NSW your name is on the birth certificate. I'm not sure about other states

    Hi Johnathant, in NSW your name will be on the birth certificate.

    Have you seen a counsellor yet? Highly recommend it (and is compulsory if u use donor sperm) and they go through all this info.
    The counsellors are usually through the IVF clinic.

    I'm pretty sure in WA your name will be on the birth certificate.. There are a few WA girls on here that will know...

    yes, feeling lucky that you live in WA! Both names will be on the birth cert. No mention of donor. BUT be aware that some govt forms might raise daunting question by using "biological" on the form. I had this discussion with the counsellor and it is irrelevant to the context of the form. DH is the father. PERIOD.

    In Vic, both names will be on the cert but donor conceived will need to be declared on ti as well. Are you doing the counselling wtih someone here or NSW?
