I'm sending you the biggest biggest hug @LillyM.
Take your time to heal and recover, your body and emotions have been through a lot. Please know that we are here for you and we will think of you...
PS: I just read another thread about a lady who's gone through 5 IUIs and 17 IVF cycles in 3.5 years to get a boy. We are all strong woman and we know we will get there eventually.

I can't believe what's happened to you @StephyG!! Sending you a big hug too hun! I just read in that same thread (about the lady who's had 22 cycles) that Menopur did not work for her as well. She says Menopur contains LH, which can convert to testosterone which can decrease egg quality.

She also mentioned about oestrogen priming, which was what eventually worked for her but none of her FS had offered her that before she read up and asked for it.

If anyone is interested in reading, the thread is called "Low / poor responders" - interesting info there. Our dear friend Billie2 is also active on that thread! Miss you @Billie2!

Oh bugger, what a wait @ABG79! It's ok, enjoy the weekend and we will start next week with fantastic news I am sure!

Thanks girls. I'm so thrilled! My HCG levels were 360. The nurse said that's a strong positive so I'm assuming that's a good number? Xx

Long time lurker first time poster here I've been stalking the bub hub forums for about 4 years now (when hubby and I started TTC) and have been an avid follower of this thread since moving from Monash IVF last year to Primary in Melbourne. I must say, you ladies are an awesome source of support and knowledge for one another and it's really heartening to see the community grow! So anyway, I'm finally posting because a) I know there are only a few Melbourne Primary ladies on here, so I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and say I'm here too! And of course, I'm now needing some support and advise of my own (I hope it's not too presumptuous for my first post!) Basically, this is the first stim cycle with Primary (have had 2 previously with Monash along with 3 negative FETS). We have been really happy with the process at Primary so far - albeit a long drawn out one - and were really happy to have Dr Nick as our specialist. He spent a lot of time with us in our appointment and respected the knowledge and experiences we had gained at Monash. We agreed on a protocol and went on our way. The issue I'm having now is that slowly everything from that conversation is going out the window! It started when there was no Clexane when I picked up my meds, so I asked the nurse to arrange the script for me. She basically told me 'i don't need it and she's seen worse results from the prednisolone/clexane protocol than without'. I asked her again next conversation, and she said the same thing and has still not arranged the prescription. Next flag was when I got the SMS then subsequent call to notify us of egg collection day when I was told to stop the menopur and orgalutran......I was never told to START the orgalutran! Wednesday was a stressful night thinking my ovaries were going to pop at any minute! Anyway, we just had egg collection yesterday, and when she called today with fert rate (10 out of 13 collected - woo hoo!), I asked her what the split was as we had said we wanted 50% regular IVF & 50% ICSI. She told me they were all ICSI (I know we have a fantastic result, but my concern is that our wishes weren't followed). The next concern is that she told me to only take the crinone once a day, when it was confirmed with Dr Nick that it would be twice. Finally, when I told her we had decided we want to transfer 2 embryos instead of 1, she told me that wasn't a good idea and gave me all the negative reasons why we shouldn't do that! Sorry about the vent, but I'm really quite staggered at how our specialist has recommended/supported one path, then my only contact with Primary is this (lovely but clearly overworked) nurse who insists on telling me every decision we've made is a wrong/bad one. Any advise on what I can do? So sorry for such a long venty post, but any thoughts/advice would be appreciated
