    Default IVF over 40 #31

Ah my memories just been triggered. Viagara was originally being developed as a heart drug when they discovered it's other uses. No wonder your heart was racing @Maxwellsmum. You did bloody well to stay calm. Most men would have rocked up to the ED complaining they were on death's door (and with a raging boner).

Yeah, the 27 days to transfer is just too long this time but what can I do now. In the last hour I'm struggling not to throw up. I'm guessing the 1000mg of Metformin is kicking in. @Green lady Wishing your embies lots of expanding vybes over the next 24 hours!! @MamaKes How are you going at work waiting for your phone to ring?
@Tahli Ugh, bloody stuff, can you take it in two doses? I couldn't take two 500 tablets any closer than 4 hrs apart or my butt exploded. (sorry gals) I used to carefully time them so it would just take the edge of my appetite....but sometimes I got it wrong and ended up desperately running to the train station loo on my commute home.

that's a worry @Maxwellsmum. glad you're feeling better. it sounds like speed or something, getting your heartrate up like that?

I hope all goes well tomorrow @Green lady. day 6 hatching blasts sound perfect to me. I hope your morulas catch up too. would you transfer any that couldn't be frozen?
@Tahli you do sound really stressed. I'm sure this will be your last cycle and have a happy ending. I'm just a bit worried for you having triplets at 40+!

I've just been looking at my DH metformin/diablex and he takes 2 x 1000mg as he's type two diabetes. He used to take in the morning but made his stomach upset and now takes in the evening. He's been on them for a few years now so his body must be used to it
he found it hard to sleep at first. Super dry mouth. It did take him a few weeks to get to 2000mg

@winsor - can't do a fresh transfer as didn't prepare for one because I'm doing the PGD.
@Maxwellsmum - hopefully will be no recurrence of increased heart rate. Would have been scary.

Most men would not go through the half of what we do! At least not without a big fuss! It's amazing what we do to ourselves.

@Maxwellsmum, that sounds bl00dy terrible and must have been quite frightening to boot. Take care of you hon.

@Tahli, that Metformin makes me nervous. I worry about you every day that you're on it. I know you have to take it but gosh some of these meds have bad side effects....

@greenlady, I am crossing everything I have that tomorrow brings good news for you. I imagine you are feeling quite frightened that the end of the road could be so near. Don't give up on those precious embies yet though love - you just never know your luck It ain't over til the fat lady sings and I don't hear no yodelling!

Me? Working. Tired. 2 vanilla slices in the fridge.

    DANGER, DANGER!
