Well, it seems like the magistrate considered DHS to be over zealous. That sounds somewhat positive. Re: the timeframe - could maybe be that he just doesn't want it to be back in court unnecessarily, which DHS would probably push for.
Don't stress too much about the timeframes. Take each day as it comes. You can't really predict what exactly will happen. In regards to your parents, can you tell them to shut up because they aren't helping your mental health, and if they don't zip it, you may be in there for longer.

Hun - I know it's bloody stressful for you. That being said - having an additional month to focus on yourself and getting healthy and happy is a big positive. It's not DHS and the magistrate against you. It's DHS and the magistrate trying to do the best thing for your son, and yourself.
Hang in there. Get better despite/to spit your whinging parents xxx
