    Default 1st Wedding Anniversary Gift

    Sorry, it's not babies or children but it's family.

    What did you buy your husband as your 1st Wedding Anniversary Gift?

    I'd love to be traditional so (unique) paper gift recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    dh bought me a house!

    rather fitting, title deeds = paper lol

    nah seriously, we bought some art for our new home.

    we've agreed that this is what we'll do for wedding anni gifts. instead of buying the cliched gifts, we will choose a nice piece we both like each year. that way you build up a nice collection for your home.

    we also go out for a nice dinner.

    A picnic is a wonderful idea, thank you! My darling husband has booked a weekend away, so perfect! I'm now going to organise that for lunch on the day.

    But I would like to get him something, nothing extravagant.

    This was a while ago - we'll have been married 13 years this year but I made a little scarp book collage with our wedding invitation and framed it.

    I had a nice photo of DH and I from our wedding day printed and put it in a frame with the lyrics of our wedding song. I used the font we used for our invites and the paper we used for our order of service. Not expensive at all, but sentimental.

    DH & I both forgot our 1yr anniversary (oops) but if I was to go the traditional gift route (paper) I would get a picture drawn of our family/or us on our wedding day.

    We just got each other cards. That's paper.

    Heres an idea though. When we got married we wrote each other notes and sealed them in a box with a bottle of wine. We promised to open them on our 5th wedding anniversary. Maybe you could do that...its paper.

    I made something- I google mapped three places- where we met, first home, where we married. Printed, cut into heart shapes, put in a frame.
    Along with his fave chocs, card and an earring.
