    Cronulla is great.

I would not stay in Rockdale.

I think you'll have difficulty finding reasonably priced accommodation in Sydney over new years. I'd go after.

So she's going to look for accomodation in Coogee for me. So we'll see what she comes up with!
Yep Coogee or Bronte or surrounds are great, easy bus ride to the city or Bondi ( huge Westfield and great restaurants ) and Bondi Beach ( also great restaurants)

We used to live in Coogee and it is nice but certainly not a good option for public transport. There are buses but no trains in the area.

Good to know, what about driving to a train station? We'll have our car. Thanks.

There are very limited train stations in the eastern suburbs. There's Edgecliff station then trains terminate at Bondi junction. That is it. There's a huge westfields at Bondi junction but it's not really worth driving there then getting a train.

It's only an easy 10-15 min drive to Bondi station ( easy to find parking or an easy bus ride) all trains from Bondi stop at town hall or Central station ( literally 5 min train ride away) and you then easily jump off there and your in the centre of Sydney ( china town/powerhouse museum/Centrepoint/Westfield and shopping/Hyde Park/darling harbour /star city and fish markets ) or jump on a train to Circular Quay ( 5 mins from Town Hall and train stops outside the harbour and opera house and jump straight on a ferry to the zoo/Luna park or Manly)

Obviously , but not usually on the main road and so obvious like the ones in Rockdale - definitely not the first impression I'd want for a first time bubhub visiting family coming to Sydney 😳

I lived in banksia for 2 years before moving to this house and used to walk home from Rockdale all the time because the fast train didn't stop at banksia and I had no idea they were there until my bil who is a paramedic said he got called to the brothel one night. I had to ask him where it was???

I can't even think where one is on the princes hwy. I know there's one up the side street near the carpark that masks as an adult book shop. I don't think they're that obvious at all.

Actually, I *think* there is one on west botany street, but that's not a street a tourist would normally drive along.
