    Default Updating your will

Wondering if someone can help please, we had our will done when we were married but it's never been updated since. Can we update it ourselves based on the old will and just make it current or do we need to find a new solicitor (don't use the one that did it anymore) and get it done professionally?

We used our old provider - just updated recently (after 10 years and 3 kids...) but I am sure if you provided your current will and any updates, a new provider should be able to do it fairly easily - provided there weren't significant changes?

Thanks, is it expensive to update? Our original will was part of a wedding present from our solicitor friend.

I personally wouldn't diy. unless you're a lawyer or have very good knowledge of how estate planning works, there may be unintended consequences to your amendments and the revised will may not capture your actual intentions.

estate planning is one of those things you need to get right. after you're gone, it's too late.
