We do actually. I think they're on my portable hard drive at home. I'll try and find them tonight.

It was in original 1950s condition, it hadn't been touched other than we think the 3rd bedroom might have been an open dining room and they added a wall to turn it into a bedroom.

We even were left some pretty original furniture too! We kept the 1950s extension table and still have it, but gave the rest away.

We had someone do this in Melbourne when we sold our house and it looked great.
I was about to say the same. HUGE business staging in Melbourne, and I assume Sydney. I think we paid 3,500. The woman came in, advised what we should store, what she would change / supplement, what to do with the garden, and a few other general things. The woman had a warehouse with her own furnishings, crew etc.

It was a great service, and I would use her again if needed.

Default Re: Business ideas for mums who are sick of being discriminated against at work

So.. I have been reflecting and I am quite the opposite of what seems to be the "norm" here.

Each time I have returned to work (full time I must admit) I have gained significant promotions. Must be the extra dimension that parenting gives you - plus I have constantly studied...

Anyway, from a mum perspective, I know I would happily pay for a number of services to allow me to work and make the most of family time. Things that would help me and I'd pay weekly/fortnightly/monthly or once off for include:

Fashion advice/wardrobe makeover (hello 3 kids...)

    Interior design/kids room help!

Swimmimg lessons (for 3 x kids)

    Housekeeping/cleaning/bed making/washing/ironing.

Meal prep (even x meals once per month)

Babysitting (reputable provider- wwcc, first aid, caring etc)

Cashflow/budgetting advice and assistance (I currently do this but someone helping to ID wastage - because I'm too busy, would help - just don't touch my GJ coffee!)

I am sure there are other things, the most important thing for me is consistency and the continuity. I HATE using gumtree for services and actually want a local solution (communtiy based, invested and committed approach)... which makes me feel good about helping/supporting my community...

Ps: I got my last promotion at the point I was returning from maternity leave - with a new employer.

Thank you. DH and I would love to be on the block, but couldn't leave our kids for 12 weeks plus. Hopefully it's still going in 6 or 7 years then maybe we would audition...

I'm wondering if anyone wants me to do a mood board for them? It would give me some experience. PM me if you do.

    Send
    - A photo of your room
    - Room measurements (include ceiling height if you know it)
    - A bit about your style (modern, traditional, industrial, hamptons, eclectic etc)
    - Any colours you hate
    - Any problems you want to fix in the room
    - How you use the room
    - Who uses the room.

Given you can't PM photos, send me your email address and I'll PM you back mine so you can email the photo of your room.
