We had someone do this in Melbourne when we sold our house and it looked great.
We've been recommending stylists for our properties for the past few years, I'd say probably every 3rd house listed used one ( we are in Sydney) and if you can include hire furniture as well that's where they really make their money - most charge around $8000-$15,000 to furnish houses for the 4 week campaign

Wow!!! I've got a few quotes for a house in Brisbane: $3000-$5000 for 6 weeks.

I know I'm in little old Adelaide and I only had a 2 bedder.... But I only paid $1500 for fully furnished 4 week house styling 😳 do they do other services for that fee or is it just furniture and house set-up?

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I've only just started my official training in interior decoration, so my best hope so far is to go it on my own and hope my work speaks for itself. I could build a portfolio through offering my services for free until I'm officially qualified.

I have done a bit of house styling when selling my own properties. So that's a definite option.

Whilst I've always been to busy to properly design my kids nurseries / rooms, I do have an interest in this too.

Here's some photos from of my projects - the first house we renovated.

Default Spin Off-Business ideas for mums who are sick of being discriminated against ...

I'd definitely pay to have someone come in and discuss ideas for what would work based on current constraints - room size, wall & carpet colour and then to develop a theme that would work based on ideas I like.
@turquoisecoast Check out petite vintage interiors.
