I'm not on that drug but am happy to contribute to the conversation
I got my period at 13 years old. From day dot I had six day flooding bleeds which is why, consequentially, I went on The Pill at 15. I still got the flooding periods for six days but at least I knew when they were coming.
It continued this way all through my 20's and into my 30's. I was still on the pill and getting heavy flow for 5 days at 35, but after that they started to peter out.
I went off The Pill in January of 2015 after some 25 years on it. I got a break-through bleed and then nothing for 2 months. When AF did come back, it was some light brown blood that lasted about 4 days, and that was it.
Now-a-days, all I get is some brown staining, and really, I don't even need protection for it. A wipe in the bathroom every 2 hours takes care of it. The whole shebang only goes for 2 to 3 days as well.
My FS never seems concerned about it, but I spoke to my GP about it just last week and he was of the opinion that this is normal for a woman who is 40+ and has never had kids. He said the uterine lining is very much a 'use it or lose it' scenario, and if you've not had a pregnancy by 40 the lining doesn't recognise the need to thicken up each month as we would like, and that it is not unusual to need meds to help make that happen. I found that very interesting and wonder if it has been a similar experience for others on here?

This reminds me when I was talking this stuff through with my counselor she was very reluctant to say 'genetic mother' preferring just 'donor' or 'egg donor' with 'mother' firmly being the woman who raises the child. But when referring to siblings she was quite happy to say 'genetic siblings' I guess that is different to brother or sister. It's all so confusing! Mind you, I think my donor would be horrified to be labelled 'mother' anything, she's admitted she's not terribly maternal.

@Aimee999 fabulous news on your golden lovely. Fx for a smooth transfer. Is it day3 or day5 transfer or are you hoping to pgd. As for your mum its tough when who is supposed to be your greatest allies becomes your weakest link. Like @greenlady said sometimes you learn what not to do. My mother and I live close in location but i see her maybe 3 times a yr at best. Very different people. Always have been. My mil who is stauch catholic and is funny about ivf comes over 4 months ago to tell me all about immune protocols including intralipids that she had researched and offered to pay bless her. Definitely wasnt expecting that. We are here to support you whenever you need. Good luck.

Always heavy day 2 to 7 then d I sappear for 2days then return for 3. Post 35 af for 3days go away for 2 return for 3 spotting last 2 days really. Post ivf its about the 3 to 5 days moderate flow and spotting. My lining is always great. Even post scratch and flush which caused quite heavy to moderate flow for 7days then light spotting for 3days and lining was 10mm at trigger day. Hope this helps. @Summer where are you lovely. OK, I'm calming the farm now! After the rush of getting ad approval, posting it up, and dealing with the excitement of it all, I think I'm ok!
It was funny, after weeks of nothing all of a sudden I was on full-tilt with it!
Can't wait for the next exciting step I'm starting to feel like this may actually happen for us....

@infinity888 yes mine have settled down too. I have another pregnyl booster due tonight so expecting side affects to start up again following that. What's the blood test for? Does it tell you earlier than tww? I don't know what to do really, mines due on the Monday May Day holiday, so if I wait till Tuesday to get it I'll be out of progesterone and crinone by a day. Don't want to buy it all preempting something then it's a negative and I've just bought all that. Do u reckon they'd let me do a Friday blood test or too early?
