How do you find out the quality of the embryos?
    Ive never had that information.

Booked for Wed egg pick up now and a little bit anxious at the uneven sizes.
What the ideal folly size ? 18-22 ? Does anyone know what happens if they leave a leading big one ? My Friday scan had one at 27.
I think that ones supposed to be over mature although im not too sure what that means.

Then if you need plan B, you can go for the full Dr M thing and start a fresh cycle.

    THIS.

@Tahli, this is exactly what I would do. I know you have your own AA grade emby sitting there but in all honesty, that whole donor cycle hasn't been very kind to you. I don't have great faith in the sole surviving emby for that reason.

Even though the donated embies might not be as high a quality I still think there is a reason your generous donor has gifted these embies to you. Sometimes lesser quality embies stick where others don't. Perhaps this is all a part of the Universe's grand plan, and these three precious embies are the ones you were meant to have all along? Perhaps they hold the key to your take home baby.

Either way, I'd accept them as a sign and put the whole three in. I reckon this is an amazing opportunity for you and I have a good feeling about these three....

To find out the quality of your embryos you can just ask your fertility nurse hon. Mine always have that info on their computers but they don't give it to you if you don't ask for it. You can also ask the embryologist when you go for your transfer

My clinic will attempt to pick up anything from 16mm onwards. There is a possibility that your 27mm will not be viable by then - they can get 'over-ripe' or you could ovulate before then if you're not taking preventative drugs to prevent it.

My best guess is that your FS will try and capture the largest possible cluster of follies, so if you have a group of them , for example 9mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 27mm then they would go for the 16, 18 and 20 but forgo the 9 and 27. I'm not an expert though but that's how it's always been with mine.

@Tahli I am thinking the Zen cycle with the donated embies too. It's tricky because you want to do the right thing by your generous benefactor but the full immune protocol might just be too stressful to organise by your deadline. Plus the extra costs. I also think that your own DE cycle eggs have had some sort of incompatibility with you. Trying eggs from a different donor might just do the trick. If not then you have more money left to go the full everything but the kitchen sink on a fresh DE cycle later this year. I don't know about the triple transfer. Between you and Vix we could be known as the thread with the 2 women who had triplets!

I still have my B5AA in CT but I can't mix that with one of the above and I've had no on-going pregnancy from that batch of embryos.
Add to the mix, my ex is transferring enough money this weekend for me to do a fresh cycle. Apparently not running him through with the garden fork has it's benefits.

(Please keep in my mind that my embryo donor reads this thread when replying, ta.)
I'd put all 3 back Luv on a "Zen Cycle" & see what happens if it were me & I didn't want to do a fresh Cycle.

I'd leave the other frozen emby where it is & either put it with fresh embies from a fresh Cycle or with the frozen excess embies from a fresh Cycle.

@amie999 I had some large follies and some mid range on my second last cycle. The mid range ones were the ok ones. The large follies were empty (not sure if I ovulated them or they were always empty). Did they tell you what your oestrogen level was? That is sometimes a better indicator of the number of eggs than the follicle numbers are.

@Tahli that sounds ok to me and at least it lessens the chance of triplets I suppose...? I certainly wouldn't discard them if that's what they are alluding to ? @infinity888 congrats and good luck for a double transfer on Monday !!

I need to get up the courage to talk to the FN about our frosties grade. I am thinking they are going to be Cr#p and part of me doesn't want to know. But that's for next year. Second cot will have to wait a little longer to be filled. Big Bubba is yet to arrive. The OB is happy with this Bubba's progress so far. Little Bubba is now taking up only 10% of the space.
