@Bongley I'm guessing you've had your 20 wk scan and all's well with Manchego? Any peak it his/her gender? A rescan in 2 weeks...are you ok? I'm sorry you're feeling like crud. Is a second pregnancy when you're that bit older really hard work on your body, plus managing an active boy?

@Tahli yes, he's all good, I've known the gender since I asked the embryologist at the transfer at xmas, I have no patience and I have seen the willy confirming it at the 15 week scan. I've got loads of scans as I am high risk due to my age.
I really think it's just the way my body has reacted to the pregnancy rather than age, I was 40 by the time I popped out DS1 and that was a great pregnancy from the get go, so this has thrown me. I didn't know what my younger UTD friends were complaining about so karma has bitten me on the butt! (Still my fatigue is nothing compared to the morning sickness, pubic bone dysfunction (spd), carpal tunnel, swelling, high BP and gestational diabetes they suffered!!!) Also yes having a 3 yr old to entertain doesn't help, I just feel like I could lie down on the couch all day. Thank goodness I work from home 2 days a week.... I mourn my fitness levels as all the stress and IVF knocked that on the head last year. I can see why IVF-ers are at a higher risk of PND, you are starting off already emotionally and physically drained despite finally achieving a bloody miracle!

So no, I think its down to more luck (and fitness) than age. I'm still planning to work up to 38 or 39 weeks.

Are you wondering how you will cope if your next cycle works?

Absolutely go the baby dust!!! Maybe the baby dust fairy just takes a while to find some of us? So it might attract her in...

Yep I rang DH when the HPT came up positive and then again after I spoke to Wazza's girls. DH has been ridiculously optimistic this cycle as they were PGD normals, so said he was expecting it. It would be nice to have waited to tell him in person, but he'd said he wanted me to ring ASAP either way. He is now hoping for twins, but I don't think the numbers are that high (although would be awesome).

The ladies in at intralipids are very excited for me too - I was in here a few weeks ago for the pre-transfer intralipids, so I think they like it when they get ladies back with their BFPs.

@Gagingi my first blood test came back at 240 when I was prego with twins. Brace yourself for the first scan. Double trouble on the way.

    Oh and congratulations!
