I have enough of my own shiz to deal with atm. I think I am also angry that because of her shiz at work she doesn't have the time or energy to help me atm when I am struggling. Or maybe it's mutual - I don't have the time it energy to help her at present.

I hope it goes well with your mum's friend and I think you're really kind trying your best to intervene. It's frustrating watching someone accept cr@p isn't it? I wonder what advice your mum would give you if you were in the same situation - maybe ask her and see what she says!
