Yeah I will. I could've mailed it weeks ago but wanted to do it in person.

finding myself thinking about a mini getaway to FNQ around July (it's my bday then plus keen to escape dreary winter here for a few days). is it doable with a 4-5 month old bub?

Yes! We did a trip to Melbourne when DS was 6 months or so (we are in Brisbane). I found it easier when DS was portable (even though he was high maintenance I could just stick b00b in mouth to calm him whenever lol.

We are planning another Melbourne trip when DD is 8 months old.

that's what I'm thinking. food on tap for a bub makes life so much easier 😂

are you familiar with FNQ? where's good to stay?

I found a place on air bnb that's nice on 4 mile beach (port Douglas)?

4 Mile beach is lovely BUT it's a long way from anywhere so you'll definitely need transport. Also I'm not sure if you've been to FNQ beaches before but if you haven't then they are very different from beaches in Southern Qld and further. Small strip of sand and still, often murky water.

Not too bad. DD is a littke cranky atm but otherwise it was fine.

I am lucky though as DS likes shopping. And the shops near us aren't too big or busy. And he knows his way around so I don't have to worry too much about him.

No idea about FNQ. I have been to Airlie Beach once for DH's work. It was nice there.

Have you considered Hamilton island? Further south but direct flights from Melbourne I believe and is very family friendly you can even hire all your Bub stuff if you didn't want to cart it all there.
