Not sure if it's a style but inventive, I come up with a lot of my recipes out of my head I think of things that I think will taste nice together and make most of our meals that way.

Healthy, family friendly meals. A lot of it is basic, and it would be very different if I didn't have to cater for my DS1. Lots of veg packed lean mince meals lol.

    Who needs a recipe? Right?
Sometimes someone will ask what the recipe is or for the recipe, but then I've changed the original so then that isn't quite right either...hmmmn. Just a bit of this and a bit of that until it's right. The_Swedish_Chef.jpg

Yep this is me too. If I try to follow a recipe I usually manage to stuff it up

Follow the recipe to a tee, but

    1. Always add vanilla and cinnamon (for sweets obviously)

    2. Always add coriander and peas.

I guess I'd say I'm a pretty humble, country cook with a big dash of Italian thrown in.
Tonight we're have slow roasted pork belly (in the oven - I don't have a slow cooker) with sweet potato mash and garlic brocollini and that's pretty typical of what I like to cook.
I love slow cooking roasts and making things like Osso Bucco, pasta with slowly simmered sauces. I need, garlic, butter, olive oil, chilli, cheese, cream oh and potatoes. I bloody love potatoes.
