Please stop trying to get answers from him it is only going to hurt you more.
If you do have questions definitely chat to the helpful ladies here that have experience but as soon as the office is open call CS and ask them questions as they are the ones that will tell you the truth.

That's because you were right and he is upset because he is caught out.

He is lashing out. Just ignore what he says/does. And if you have questions, call them (child support) and ask the process.

It says he has to pay. It also says that you can negotiate before 13 weeks but if that is not possible then CS will do it so he will have to pay.

I am not sure what his point is?

When does his holiday start? I would just avoid any contact with him until he's away...

dont even deal with him, ring csa
theyre a hopeless bunch, ring them at least twice, possibly three times in short progression (so over like 2 weeks or so) and you get somewhere.
However it takes months to sort it out through them, then the person just verbally reduces their income and you start again

file a request for csa to collect and then move on, anything you get is a bonus tbh because you probably wont get anything with how nasty your ex has been

you cna receive an exemption for child support in the event of serious domestic violence, centrelink wont buy that however if youre leaving the kids with him without court orders

Best not to even bother speaking to him regarding child support. Contact CPA open a case give all details abd leave it up to them

Op has previously said Easter / 1st April. This is one nasty vindictive guy to be spending his US holiday/business trip arguing with his estranged wife about child support...

    Call child support.

we can't answer if he should be paying but generally if you're the primary carer then you get something .

It all depends on how many children are involved, income, percentage of care etc.

to a pp, they can call and verbally reduce their amount but its then an estimate and they should call if their income increases...but if at the end of the financial year they've underpaid they rack up a debt.
If they're using the previous years tax income then they need a reduction of at least 15% to change to an estimate.

I'm sort of on the other side. my dp has other children but is hopeless with their mumbo jumbo so i deal with them.

op...call them repeatedly. Some of the workers are useless but most are helpful.
