    Default Postpartum issues

A bit tmi and embarrassing topic, but wandering if anyone has experienced the same. I am 4 weeks PP and have been experiencing a lot of gas, especially the past 2 weeks. My tummy gets sore then I break wind that would impress a room full of footy loving blokes!! It's really not nice. Thankfully it doesn't seem to smell. I don't normally ever have this problem, certainly not to this extent!

I was initially thinking it was hot cross buns (I normally rarely eat bread or wheat of any kind) but haven't had any for a week now and it's persisting. I also vaguely remember something similar after the birth of DS1 (first was c sec this one vbac).

Is this potentially all my internal organs sorting themselves out/readjusting? Or could it be breastfeeding related? I will question at my 6 week check but just curious as to whether any one else experienced similar. It seems to be digestion related.

I've had that after all three births. It's your uterus shrinking that moves everything else around.

    It goes away soon enough.

Not sure if it is a buildup that takes a while but peppermint tea can help with the pain/wind but I do think its normal.

Yep was gassy, thought it might have been since I was eating 3x as much so 10x as much gas? Who ever says BF is cheaper than formula didn't see what I was needing to eat!

I'm naturally gassy, as is my dh. we gave up trying to be modest and polite years ago 😂

now with ds farting too, it's like a competition who can get the loudest toot! 😂😂

😂 oh gosh I feel like this atm. Bottomless pit doesn't begin to describe it. I hope it settles down soon, I need to eat more filling food.

Makes sense. Especially as I have found its worse straight after feeding.

It settles, my ds is now 21 mths and I'm finally recently cutting back in food, started to slow a bit at 4 or 5 mths but still ate heaps. But at least wasn't getting up for a feed every night by then!
